[Figure 1 (Move 4 – 23)] , Xinwen (Black) used Mini Chinese against his opponent. However the White approaches with move-10 instead of move-15 which Xinwen had not really learned and had made an early mistake which could cost the whole game.

Black could actually just simply answer at A for instead of move-11; and it could also be invaded at move-16 right away for move-11.

[Winning Reason], White made mistake at C returning sente to Black to play A and also losing a group at B cost White to lose this game. Xinwen won 3.5.

During the final match against Toby Manning (2-dan), Xinwen had a very bad starting position which literally said to be already lost the game but the game continued to fight for chances until the KO appeared and Black tenuki an important threat at move-240 which totally turned the game around.

White won 4.5, despite winning Xinwen had thought its some kind of luck putting into the game to win.
