The first round was against LingJun (4-dan) who turned out to be the champion of the tournament. Furthermore, he was the runner-up in 2011 London Open (source: http://www.europeangodatabase.eu/EGD/Tournament_Card.php?&key=T111228B&pin=16313583) defeating Matthew MacFadyen.

In the Game 1 – Xinwen (Black), the game was pretty intense reaching to the crucial moment where the KO had to decide the game.

Game 3 - Xinwen (White)
Game 3 - Xinwen (White)

Xinwen thought he had played decently this time in the tournament, but turned out he lost his 2nd match as well and only managed to win his 3rd match (last) by komi margin.

Game 2 – Xinwen (Black), was against Andrew Simon (3-dan); (http://www.europeangodatabase.eu/EGD/Player_Card.php?&key=14337147), a very decent player. Black 93 to 97 were thought to be nice for Xinwen but had made a wrong decision protecting the direction of moyo and wrong invasion too on the top which would had proven easier to be at A or B.

During the Game 3 – Xinwen (White), The game was totally disastrous for Xinwen against Niall Cardin (2-dan); (http://www.europeangodatabase.eu/EGD/Player_Card.php?&key=12401213), however miracle happened when Xinwen managed to seki the top right corner and a winning tesuji in yose from move 234 to move 236.
