Grabbing the opportunity, Xinwen gave a teaching game to Mr.Zaheer, also to test his strength, skills and thoughts when playing.

[Diagram 1 (1~15)], Xinwen was astonished to see how Mr.Zaheer treated his fuseki a test for high-level game [move 1 and 3]. It would be complicated game if Black would know komoku pincer joseki at move 7. move 13 was acceptable though Xinwen was expecting to be played at a but seeing the potential to develop his huge shimari at the corner Black had played move 15. Move 15 did not go for c exchange probably afraid of pincer from White.

[Diagram 2 (16~24)], Xinwen played the reduction move 16 after checking the potential influence the black could bring. Move 16 may be can made additional exchange first at a before playing at 16. Up to 22 was standard joseki. Black 23 forced to play at this timing, White pincer move 24 could be higher at c. Black exchange at b seemingly getting important.

[Diagram 3 (24~36)], Black jump 25 instead of 30 [3-3 invasion] intended to seek opportunity to reduce White’s influence and to invade at a or b. Black move 27 did not follow joseki but rather to avoid it. Black move 29 could be better be played at d, this way the shape gets settled faster. Black lost sente after the exchange 31 to 33, giving concern to White c cut. White eventually played 36 biggest move in fuseki. Black may need to watch out for e and f in future.

Last comment regarding how Black plays were well-done. Just needing to be concerned regarding settling group in best way otherwise facing life and death would not be funny.
