The last day of the sixth Nanning International Weiqi Tournament [24th September, 2010], the seventh round. Many had done very well so far and some were utterly upset with their performance. The Pairings are as followed:- Mah Zhe Fan (White) – Chen Shi Long, 陈士龙, Gao Xiong (Black)
Sung Hui Yee (Black) – Nong Li Yang, 农力样, Philippines (White) Malaysia, Mr.Tiong won his last opponent 吴再发 from Taipei and Wynes Leong lost small margin of 3 points against Hong Kong 曾东. Wicky from Indonesia finally gotten his wins from Cambodia, 李明洋 while Edwin carelessly lost to Netherlands player, Theo Van Ees. Other neighbouring country such as Singapore, Yeo Teck Wei lost against China player, Gan XinYu (甘新宇) and lastly Chou Yang won against 菊田义正 from Japan.

The fifth round [23rd September, 2010] was perhaps the deciding moment for all the players to get the amount of wins they desired. As for Brunei, the pairings were as shown:- Mah Zhe Fan (White) – Wynes Leong Chee Weng, Malaysia (Black)
Sung Hui Yee (Black) – Haneyadeth Chanhthabounxay, Laos (White) As for Mr.Tiong , he played against with the Japanese 4-dan, and won.

Today [21st of September, 2010], the representative players would have to play 2 games, the 3rd and 4th rounds. The pairings as shown below:-

Mah Zhe Fan (Black) – Du LiXing, 杜力行, Hong Kong (White)
Sung Hui Yee (Black) – Chen Tiansou, 陈天寿, Cambodia (White)

Malaysia, Mr.Tiong finally got his first won from Netherlands; and incredibly Wynes Leong forced Japanese 4-dan to resign!

At the same time, Zhe Fan did not put a good fight playing against the Mr.Du and declared surrender; followed by Hui Yee losing against the Cambodian.

*The 6th Nanning International Weiqi Tournament*

Annually, beside the Korea Prime Minister Cup, there is another one important International Tournament to mention; that is the Nanning, Guangxi Weiqi Tournament.

It was dated back since the year 2007, when Xinwen first participated the Nanning, Guangxi Weiqi  Tournament as player alone. Xinwen who had witnessed the great potential of bringing the Go level up to new heights in Nanning, thus it was made Brunei compulsory to particiapte the Nanning, Guangxi Weiqi Tournament from 2007 to 2010.

This year 2010, Brunei had sent: Xinwen, Mah Zhe Fan (1-dan), Sung Hui Yee (5-kyu) and Tan Sim Lian (Hui’s Yee Mother).

Under the reign of Xinwen, ever since 2004 [http://bit.ly/cbhuY0] and [http://bit.ly/cSYefz]; notable go clubs of Brunei such as the Maktab Duli Go Club, Katok PTE Go Club and SMSO Go Club and lastly the birth of this new go club Jerudong International School Go Club since 2009 had finally shown the start of prime age of Brunei Igo Society!
