*looking back the year of 2009*
Hello! I’m Xinwen; didn’t expect the curtain is covering up the stage of 2009 so soon within few claps of my eyes. This blog has been running for almost 2 years for now – which i think is incredible!
My Brunei Igo Society has also reached its new heights – the era of Soaring Heights – 3 Go Clubs sprouted in the region of Brunei.
In fact, there was not much happenings as of International Event but locally its great:- Malaysia League and Malaysia 五番碁.
Other than those, there were new players attended Japan Club such as Shino, Anthony, Simon and etc.
Then came the Mid-term (June-July) event, it was also a period to decide the participants for SEA Nanning Tournament and Asian Amateur Baduk Championship.
Very unfortunate that the Asian Amateur Baduk Championship was totally cancelled because their sponsors cut, and also due to the widespread disease H1N1. Thus, only the Nanning, Guangxi Tournament and Korea Prime Minster Cup were available.
*Annual Strength Test*
I have decided to participate Korea Prime Minister Cup yearly to test my expertise in Go, this year i didn’t do too well – better luck next time!
Lastly, the annual event was a great success because i manage to get Mr. Ho from Malaysia to visit my event and Brunei.
Walking this road now for more than 5 years, things seem to moving slowly and steadily however reaching the goal of setting up an association still vaguely dreamed.
Year 2010, is going to be more eventful – Asian Games 2010, Thailand U-go which i promised to visit as soon as i finish my diploma, and setting up go association…
Dream of one reality
Objective:- to promote the game of Igo
Vision:- encourage interaction amongst racial group
Goal:- to set up go association, grant recognition
Code:- no racism and no prejudice
Most of the time, i’ve been wondering – am i doing the right thing? am i really going somewhere physically i can see. I guess nothing is easy but never know when you never try ^^^
World peace and best of luck to everyone!
