It was fortunate for Xinwen managed to at least witnessed a game in the final between Mah Zhe Fan and Ang Ho Soon. However, probably the two players were not at their best form had not done very impressive in this game especially Ho Soon.

Critique: Ho Soon, had to really brush up his level of judging where to play. Direction and Fundamental is needed. As for Zhe Fan, he overplayed in invading the middle.

Brunei’s team secret weapon was having Philip Cher as one of the representative because Xinwen could not find any other player for the seat from Brunei. The ultimate joseki by Flamehaze at “4” remarkably shown his go style, to the surprise, opponent did not make the usual sequence of the joseki with his move at “7” instead of usual joseki at “6”.
