The Igo Society (Brunei) will be fully executing the Ing Goe rule for the 3rd CHMS Alumni Association Wei Qi Tournament “Pair Go, Golden Pair”. This is the very first time Xinwen and the Society had decided to practice the custom of Ing-Go Foundation to honour Ing-Chang Ki (應昌期).
When using Ing Goe Rule, both side will have to ensure an exact 180 stones of black and white.

*Ing Goe Rule*
This is a complete game taken from an Ing Goe Tournament; according to the rule of Ing Goe, both players have to take the dead stones and prisoner out from the game and put them back to their respective both (same as Chinese Rule).
Then, if the Komi is “8” (usually the komi given is 8), then White will have to place 4 stones onto Black’s territory. Later, Black and White will place all their remaining stones onto their respective territory filled up, until one side has spare stones which cannot be placed onto his/her territory.
Hence, from the diagram of “Final Counting”, white has one extra stone no where else to place on his/her respective territory instead on the Black’s one. The 4 white circle marked stones indicate the komi.
Thus, Black had won 3 points (2 Territories + 1 white stone).
